Join us on an electrifying presentation on Alaskan culture, history, literature & sled dogs! A discussion of sled dog paintings by Veryl Goodnight, where Western art comes alive. At her slide presentation you’ll learn how many countries have ruled Alaska, significant historical events and industries, some cultural tidbits, important Alaskan authors, and be introduced to the fantastic sled dog paintings of artist Very Goodnight. Katherine originally created this presentation for Norwegian Cruise Lines.
Presenter Bio:
Scottsdale resident Kat Thatcher is an art consultant who writes monthly articles on art and antiques and a travel writer, having visited over 90 countries. Kat is the owner and founder of Art Asset Advisor, The Artful Tourist, and Poppy Madison. She also has a jewelry line Poppy Madison jewelry. Kat was the Co-Organizer of the first TEDx Scottsdale Women in 2018. With a lifelong passion for art and a family heritage steeped in collecting, Kat established this venture to offer exceptional services in acquisition, appraisal, brokerage, and more.
