Double Feature: Way out West (1937) & The Pale Face (1948)

Mon | Jan 26, 2026 | 2:00pm

In Way Out West, renowned comedy duo Laurel and Hardy bring their irresistible mix of innocence and chaos to the Wild West in one of their most beloved features. Sent to deliver a deed to a gold mine, the pair runs afoul of con men, saloon ruffians, and everything else the West can throw at them.

In The Paleface, Bob Hope’s cowardly dentist stumbles into outlaw trouble and unexpected heroics. Paired with Jane Russell’s quick-shooting Calamity Jane, Hope fires off one-liners as fast as she fires bullets.

Chief Curator Andrew Patrick Nelson will introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion with the audience.
