Join renowned author, trader and collector Mark Winter as he conducts a show and tell of southwest weavings, utilizing examples of Hispanic, Pueblo, and Navajo textiles from the 18th century to the present.

Mark Winter and his wife Linda have been collecting Navajo rugs for more than 50 years. For much of that time they owned and operated the Historic Toadlena Trading Post in Newcomb, NM, working with contemporary Navajo weavers of Two Grey Hills. Mark has written several influential books about Navajo weaving and weavers including Eye on the Storm which details the history, symbolism and art of the Navajo Storm rug; Saddle Up! which highlights Navajo Fancy and Sunday saddle blankets from the 1860s to 2011; and The Master Weavers the definitive book on the best textiles, weavers and families of weavers in the Toadlena/Two Grey Hills region since its beginnings in the early 20th century.
