Holiday Movie – 3 Godfathers (1948)

The quintessential Christmas Western returns to the big screen this holiday season at Western Spirit! This classic film doubles as a modern Nativity tale. After a bank job goes wrong, three outlaws—played by John Wayne, Pedro Amendáriz, and Harry Carey Jr.—stagger across the desert and stumble upon a dying mother who entrusts them with her newborn. The men vow to carry the child to safety, guided by thirst, conscience, and the glimmer of redemption. Legendary director John Ford (Stagecoach, The Searchers) balances tough-hide humor with big-hearted sentiment, turning a tale of pursuit into a parable of responsibility and grace.
