Robert Rodriguez: Cinema Sin Fronteras – Spy Kids

Stagecoach Movie Poster

2001 Family Adventure Comedy. (Note: All children get in FREE to this special movie screening!)

When Carmen and Juni Cortez discover their boring parents are really secret agents, the siblings must join the family business to rescue them from an evil mastermind. Armed with everything from rocket-powered cars to shape-shifting submarines, the resourceful kids prove that the best spies might just be the ones still in middle school. Rodriguez crafted a rare family film that respects both kids and adults, delivering genuine excitement and heartfelt moments without ever talking down to its audience. Spy Kids delivers the perfect blend of high-tech adventure and family warmth, proving that the greatest missions happen when families work together. Starring Alexa Vega, Daryl Sabara, Antonio Banderas, and Carla Gugino.

Chief Curator Andrew Patrick Nelson will introduce the film.

Following the movie, children and adults alike can check out the West in Miniatures exhibit where they can use a magnifying glass to “spy” the artwork and complete a scavenger hunt.

This screening is part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration of the groundbreaking films of Robert Rodriguez.
