The Process of Painting with Reid Richardson

Thurs | Mar 26, 2026 | 6 pm

Join artist Reid Richardson as he shares his painting process and artwork. We will then take a short walk to The Signature Gallery to see an exhibit of his artwork.

Reid is a contemporary painter whose artwork celebrates the journey of life through the beauty of trees and clouds. With a belief that art is about discovery, both for the creator and observer, Reid’s paintings evoke feelings of wonder and serve as a reminder of our connection to nature. Reid’s paintings have developed a complex personal vocabulary of imagery that stirs emotions and engages the intellect. His interpretations of clouds capture both their subtle nuances as well as their powerful majesty, standing equally as the perfect background for his trees, or alone to tell their own story.

Reid has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Arizona State University’s painting program. He lives and works in Phoenix, pursuing a career as a contemporary landscape painter and professional printmaker. His work is exhibited in galleries across the southwest.

The Signature Gallery is located at 7177 East Main Street, Scottsdale. The Signature Gallery was opened by artist Charles Pabst in 1997 originally to showcase his own art. Over time he expanded and began featuring artwork from other great artists. He opened a second gallery in Laguna Beach, California in 2008 and a third one in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 2009.
