Recipients demonstrate artistic excellence, a commitment to authentic and inclusive storytelling, and a dedication to preserving and advancing the diverse Western histories and traditions.

Criteria:

• Outstanding contributions to Western storytelling through the arts, including film, literature, visual arts, music, or other media
• A demonstrated commitment to representing the diverse peoples, histories, and cultures of the American West
• Significant influence in promoting, preserving, or reimagining Western heritage for new audiences
• Meaningful community engagement or philanthropic efforts that align with the spirit of the American West
